 60 performances of Theater, Spoken Word, Dance and Music. - jazz, classical, folk and fiddle, show tunes.

06/21-24 Celebrate the 38th voyage of the newly restored historic whaling vessel....the Charles W. Morgan, the last of an American whaling fleet that numbered more than 2700 vessels. Built and launched in 1841, the Morgan is now America's oldest commercial ship still afloat. Take part in this once in a lifetime event at Vineyard Haven's Tisbury Wharf on the island of Martha's Vineyard. The restored ship will sail to Martha's Vineyard from Newport, RI on June 18-20 and will be open to the public from June 21-24 with an exhibition program that includes live demonstrations, music and much more - as well as the opportunity to board the ship and explore this one remaining whaling vessel. Built and launched in 1841, the Morgan is now America's oldest commercial ship still afloat. The Morgan can be seen during day sails on Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Whalewatching excursions on these dates will offer the unique juxtaposition of whales  swimming in the same waters as a ship whose cargo was once whale oil and baleen, but today, whose only cargo is knowledge.  Special packages are available at ShoreWay Acres Inn. Cape Cod Canal Centennial Celebration. The weeklong celebration of the Cape Cod Canal’s centennial will be filled with maritime-themed events for the whole family, from historical exhibits and tall ships on display from around the world to a tugboat parade and children’s activities along the canal. There will be an opening gala and a grand ball as well as a tour of the historic Charles W. Morgan, the last surviving wooden whaling ship. Look for other events leading up to the week’s festivities.

 Official 100th Cape Cod Canal Anniversary Commemoration. 2pm-3pm. Buzzards Bay Park. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 100th anniversary commemoration of the construction of the Cape Cod Canal. Ceremony will celebrate the men and women who helped construct the canal and bridges.

Tug Boat Parade 2pm-4pm (20-30 tug boats expected, viewing stands along the canal, viewing of the tug boats at the MMA dock on the days surrounding the event)
